The 444.075 repeater in Mounds View, MN will once again be hosting the IRLP New Year’s Party. Typically over 100 repeaters and thousands of users connect to celebrate the arrival of January 1st as midnight moves around the globe. The party goes from 31 Dec 2015 1030 UTC to 1 Jan 2016 1030 UTC. For those of us in the Central Time Zone, it starts at 0430 in the morning of the 31st and lasts for 24 hours.

Typically the party does not start with a lot of activity since there are not many repeaters in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. It does end up being a good test for the repeater with about 18 hours of Tx time over the 24-hour period.

The repeater will be “live” so any transmissions into the 444.075 will be sent out to the party.
